SPORTS PRODUCT DESIGN
NEW INNOVATION IDEA
Ski boots are awkward and uncomfortable to walk in due to their rigidity and flat sole. Our client wanted a solution that could stay fixed to the ski boot but made them easier and safer by altering the flat-soled profile of the boots.
CAD ENGINEERING
The design of the product was complex due to the many different sizes and designs of ski boots. We created a 3D CAD model which enabled use to produce a design which was adaptable, robust and passed the strict safety tests which ensure the boot can release from a ski in an accident.
PRODUCT MANUFACTURE
We worked with a manufacturer who could produce the high precision metal over-moulded and toughened plastic parts that formed the final design. Duku also created the branding, packaging and promotional videos to successfully launch the company.
