CONSUMER PRODUCT DESIGN

INNOVATIVE IDEA

A portable coffee mug that allows coffee to be brewed on the go using fresh coffee grounds and a unique pressure system. The emphasis during concept development was placed on creating an amazing cup of coffee and a tactile user experience.

PRODUCT DESIGN

The proposed design contained 3 individual pods that could be filled with coffee grounds and stored in the base. Coffee grounds are then poured into the cup and hot water added. A plunger mechanism can then be used to either brew the coffee immediately or seal the cup so that the coffee can be brewed later.

PRODUCT MANUFACTURE

After a successful crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for production, Duku assisted in managing the production process to ensure the complex and precise parts are manufactured to the correct quality.
