NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Utilities servicing company Steve Vick Ltd approached Duku for assistance in creating a bespoke casing for a gas pressure testing device. The operating environment called for a stylish, robust and ergonomically friendly design that prevented water ingress.

PRODUCT DESIGN
An over-moulded design was proposed with tactile grip points, an activation button and an integrated seal providing the necessary ingress protection.
PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT
Extensive CAD development and prototyping was carried out to refine the design for mass production. 3D printing was used to test early development prototypes, before vacuum casting was used to create pre-production samples for field testing.
UK PRODUCT MANUFACTURING
Duku supported Steve Vick throughout the production process, checking tooling design and production samples. The product is now manufactured in the UK with one of Duku's manufacturing partners.
