Designed to provide a solution to complex, battery-powered toy cars. Pushacar goes back to basics with a tough high-quality toy car made to get kids back outside and off the sofa.
SUSTAINABLE ECO-DESIGN
After prototyping various materials and design ideas, a wooden chassis with interchangeable panels were designed to provide flexibility and sustainability. The steering mechanism required thought to ensure it was tough enough to endure some abuse!
DESIGN FOR MANUFACTURE
3D printing and laser-cut parts allowed us to test and refine the design. The steering, in particular, required testing to get the design ready for manufacture. The design is intended to encourage self-build and modifications.

We developed a brand to match the fun nature of the product using a logo design that took inspiration from 50’s Americana toys and comics.
