NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Microtrol approached us to develop a simple, stylish two-part injection moulded casing for a touchscreen interface designed for an air-conditioning control unit.

PRODUCT DESIGN

The solution had to keep the screen as flush to the casing as possible whilst allowing the unit to be assembled quickly with minimal fastenings.

The product was designed for manufacture using the latest 3D computer aided design software

PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT

CAD Development and 3D printing refined the design, ensuring a precise fit around the internal electronics. Snap-fit fastenings were designed to remove the need for screws. It is now being manufactured in the UK.
