Submersible Scale Models
The ETI (Energy Technologies Institute) approached Duku for assistance in creating presetnaion models for display at a trade show.
Duku were provided with CAD assemblies for large undersea exploration products that needed to be scaled down and made suitable for rapid prototyping techniques. Duku undertook a CAD development stage to ensure that when scaled down, the component geometry could be assembled to provide a high quality prototype that still contained enough detail to demonstrate the products and their functionality effectively.
Once the scaled CAD models had been completed, Duku created prototype parts of all the components. Parts were manufactured in house using a wide range of different prototyping techniques including 3D printing and CNC machining. Paint finishes were applied where necessary to provide an accurate representation of the full sized products.
The finalised presentation models were displayed as part of an ETI trade exhibition.
