Duku were approached by Drenched for assistance in developing and protecting a unique water volumiser
Initial concept development focused on 2 differing approaches to providing water saving via the use of a volumiser that could be retrofitted to a tap. One approach was a permanent volumiser that would be permanently fitted to the tap, the other approach was a dual flow design, that could easily be switched between a normal flow, and a volumised flow.
CAD DEVELOPMENT & PROTOTYPING
CAD development focused predominantly on the dual flow design and providing a design that could be easily switched between a normal and volumised flow. This required extensive development time to create reliable seals between rotating parts. Prototypes were created using a combination of 3D prints to test early ideas and functionality before creating high quality CNC machined prototypes to prove the design and present to industry.
Drenched were selected as the winner of the Pitch@Palace 6.0 after presenting their product infront of the Queen and the Duke of York and now provide a range of water saving products.
